Dr. Philip Badalamenti received his DDS degree from the University of Detroit in 1978. He was admitted into the two-year postgraduate program in orthodontics at Boston University. After graduation in 1980, he returned home and became licensed as a Specialist in Orthodontics in Michigan.

In 1990, Dr. Badalamenti achieved the highest distinction in the field of clinical orthodontics. After rigorous written and oral examinations, and having presented the records of many treated patients several years out of treatment, he became certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Badalamenti is a member of many other professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Michigan Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Macomb County Dental Society, and the Lakeshore Chapter of the Seattle Study Club. He has frequently lectured to dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and local school groups. He is also the publisher of a children's book of stories, written and illustrated by and with his patients, called Is Going to the Orthodontist Worth the Trouble It Sometimes Takes? from which his office logo was conceived.

But it is not all work; Dr. Badalamenti and his family love the outdoors. Along with his wife and three daughters, he spends many weekends locally and in Northern Michigan water-skiing, snowboarding, and playing golf. Dr. Badalamenti also enjoys hunting, fishing, and photography.
